KAJIAN METODE ZILLMER, FULL PRELIMINARY TERM, DAN PREMIUM SUFFICIENCY DALAM MENENTUKAN CADANGAN PREMI PADA ASURANSI JIWA DWIGUNA

Abstract

Asuransi jiwa adalah suatu upaya perlindungan yang diberikan oleh pihak
penanggung terhadap resiko pada jiwa tertanggung yang akan timbul dari suatu peristiwa yang tidak dapat diprediksi. Perlindungan berupa santunan tergantung atas besarnya premi yang dibayarkan. Sebagian dari premi harus dicadangkan dalam bentuk cadangan premi. Perhitungan cadangan premi dilakukan dengan metode cadangan prospektif dan retrospektif yang menggunakan premi netto sebagai dasar perhitungannya. Dalam kenyataannya perusahaan asuransi memerlukan biaya tambahan. Untuk
menghindari kerugian, terutama di tahun-tahun awal maka metode cadangan retrospektif maupun prospektif perlu dikembangkan dengan menyertakan biaya operasional perusahaan dalam perhitungannya. Beberapa metode pengembangan ini adalah metode
Zillmer, full preliminary term, dan premium sufficiency. Ketiga metode memberikan hasil
yang sama pada saat masa pertanggungan asuransi berakhir, tetapi terlihat perbedaan
yang cukup signifikan pada perhitungan cadangan di awal masa pertanggungan.
