Abstrak. Analisis statistika deskriptif adalah teknik statistika yang digunakan untukmenganalisis data dengan cara mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan data yang
terkumpul sebagaimana adanya tanpa bermaksud membuat kesimpulan yang berlaku
untuk umum atau generalisasi. Analisis statistika deskriptif yang dilakukan pada tulisan
ini adalah terhadap data Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK), nilai Ujian Nasional (UN),
serta perilaku belajar mahasiswa Program Studi Matematika FMIPA Universitas Andalas
tahun 2009, 2010, dan 2011. Data disajikan dalam bentuk grak histogram dan
dalam bentuk diagram pencar. Pada tulisan ini akan dikaji hubungan antar variabel
IPK dengan nilai UN serta perilaku belajar mahasiswa, dengan menggunakan grak
histogram dan diagram pencar.
