Abstract

Abstrak. Berdasarkan pemantauan status gizi pada tahun 2016 yang dilakukan oleh Ke-
menterian Kesehatan RI, kejadian stunting masih menjadi masalah gizi buruk di Kota
Padang. Oleh karena itu, perlu dipelajari faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi
agar dapat dijadikan acuan untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Salah satu metode yang da-
pat digunakan untuk menggolongkan status gizi berdasarkan faktor yang mempengaruhi
adalah Metode CART (Classication and Regression Trees). Objek pada penelitian ini
adalah anak umur 2 sampai 5 tahun pada empat kecamatan di Kota Padang. Berdasarkan
analisis data dengan menggunakan metode CART menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor
yang mempengaruhi status gizi adalah tingkat pengetahuan ibu, pendidikan terakhir
ibu, Perilaku ibu, jenis kelamin dan umur anak. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa stun-
ting cenderung terdapat pada anak dengan pendidikan terakhir ibu yang rendah, penge-
tahuan ibu yang juga rendah dan Perilaku ibu yang kurang baik dalam memberikan
gizi. Pengetahuan ibu yang baik ternyata tidak menjamin status gizi yang baik pada
anak, masih ada anak yang berumur lebih dari 27.5 bulan yang mengalami stunting.
Perilaku ibu yang baik namun tidak disertai dengan pengetahuan ibu yang baik juga
merupakan penyebab kejadian stunting, sehingga masih terdapat anak berjenis kelamin
perempuan yang menderita stunting disebabkan oleh perilaku yang baik, namun tidak
disertai dengan pengetahuan yang baik.
