FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI MASA STUDI DAN INDEKS PRESTASI KUMULATIF MAHASISWA DENGAN MODEL REGRESI LOGISTIK BINER BIVARIAT

Abstract

Mutu lulusan suatu perguruan tinggi biasanya sering diukur dari Indeks Prestasi dan masa studi mahasiswa. Pencapaian prestasi akademik mahasiswa dan masa studinya dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor baik itu faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi masa studi dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif mahasiswa Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Andalas. Metode yang digunakan adalah regresi logistik biner bivariat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 15 variabel prediktor yang digunakan yaitu variabel jalur masuk, pilihan jurusan saat mendaftar Universitas Andalas, minat terhadap jurusan, bakat terhadap jurusan, tempat tinggal, biaya hidup perbulan, status penerima beasiswa, metode belajar, dukungan sosial, dukungan keluarga, keaktifan organisasi motivasi belajar, gaya belajar, kondisi kesehatan dan mental, dan fasilitas layanan akademik hanya ada dua variabel prediktor yang signififikan mempengaruhi masa studi dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif mahasiswa yaitu variabel jalur masuk dan motivasi belajar.Kata Kunci: masa studi, Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif, regresi logistik biner bivariat.
